City water overflow explained
      TO THE EDITOR: The purpose of this letter is to provide information regarding the overflow condition that has occurred on occasion at the standpipe located on Alexander Drive. As was discussed at the November council meeting the standpipe is the storage facility at the lowest elevation of any of our elevated storage facilities.

Thanks to all who helped with Teen Years 101' youth seminars
      TO THE EDITOR: Many parents, grandparents, teenagers, educators and community members attended the outstanding seminars "TeenAge Years 101" presented by Judge Wade Padgett of Columbia County at W-WCHS November 5-6. We want to thank everyone that attended for their support and desire to invest in the futures of the youth of Wilkes County.
