I hope everyone has a very nice Thanksgiving. It's so good when families can get together on special days. We all have so much to be thankful for. .Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer attended the Thanksgiving luncheon at Tignall Baptist Church Tuesday. As always, we enjoyed everything, the lunch, the entertainment, and the fellowship. Rev. Lamar Holly of Lawrenceville kept us laughing. I think his goal in life is to make everybody laugh and be happy. .I received sad news Wednesday morning. My granddaughter, Ann Caldwell in Statesboro, called to tell me that their house burned that morning. The smoke alarm awak- ened them around 3:30 a.m. Ann, Josh, his brother Jack, and their dog got out but nothing was saved. We all are so thankful no one was hurt. . Mrs. Juanita Bradford's greatgreat grandson, Linkcon Bosdell, celebrated his first birthday Saturday, November 17. Mrs. Bradford and Mrs. John Sutherland joined him and his family for the party held at Young Memorial United Methodist Church in Thomson. .Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Ed Williamson who died Wednesday. Quinnie and I worked together at Wilkes Telephone and Electric for many years. .James and I attended the funeral of Ed Williamson at Resthaven Cemetery Friday afternoon. .Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance left Friday to spend the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Ruby Johnson in Tifton. .James and I attended the retirement reception for Bobbie Wilson at Regents Bank Thursday. She is a good friend and will be missed. We wish her many happy days in the future. .Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer attended the called Executive Committee meeting at the Georgia Baptist Association Mission Center Sunday afternoon and following that a reception to welcome Rev. Andy Perryman and his family to the Association was held with a good number of churches represented. .
