Funeral services for Toombs Blackwell, 83, were held Saturday, November 17, 2007, at the Mulberry Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. Robert Crawford, Rev. Albert Rucker, and Rev. H.M. Easley officiating.

Mr. Blackwell was the son of the late Aomi and Steve Blackwell and was a member of the Mulberry Baptist Church. He was a kind and gentle man.

Survivors include a niece and nephew.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
