Graveside services for Richard Pounds, 88, of Belton, S.C., were held Friday, November 16, 2007, at Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Ron Fousek officiating. He died Wednesday, November 14, at his home.

Mr. Pounds was born in Thomson, and was the son of the late Grady and Louise Kendrick Pounds. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church of Thomson and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from Tollison Ford. He was the widower of Mary Bufford Pounds.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Pounds Ivester of Belton, S.C.; a brother, Henry Pounds of Thomson; a sister, Charlotte McManus of Winterhaven, Fla.; two grandsons, Joseph David Ivester III of Belton and Richard Tate Ivester of Augusta; and two great-grandchildren.

Pruitt Funeral Home of Honea Path, S.C., was in charge of arrangements.
