Willie Robert King

Funeral services for Willie Robert King, 72, of Hickory Hill Dr., Washington, were held Thursday, December 28, 2006, at the Hilliard Station Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. Dwight Foster officiating and Rev. Larry Norman, eulogist. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Saturday, December 23, 2006, at the Select Hospital, Augusta.

Mr. King was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late Floyd King and the late Ester Norman King. He was a member of the

Hilliard Station Baptist Church where he served as president of the usher board and was a faithful member.

Survivors include his wife, Essie Easley King; four children, Robert King Jr., Washington, Ernest Marion King, Atlanta, Joseph Luther King, Miami, Fla., and Stevie McCraig, Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister, Florine King, Atlanta; and a brother, James Howard King, Washington.

C.W. Phelps Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
