Michelle Anderson graduates from GSU with highest honors

Michelle Anderson of Tignall graduated magna cum laude from Georgia Southern University in commencement exercises on Friday, December 8, at H a n n e r Fieldhouse in Statesboro.

M i c h e l l e earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. While a student at the university she was a member of Golden Key International Honor Society and Delta Epsilon Iota Honor Society.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Anderson Jr. and the granddaughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Bufford, the late Ernest Bufford, and the late Rev. Eddie and Willie D. Anderson.

Celebrating the graduation with Michelle and her parents were her sister, Taneika Anderson; grandmother, Elizabeth Bufford; godmother, Kizzie Stokes; Mr. and Mrs. Willie Frank Bufford, Gladys Moon, and Pecola Bradley.

Michelle will begin a long-term substitute position with the Evans County School System this month.
