Mason Wheatley guest of honor at first birthday party Dec. 2

Mason Wheatley, son of Bruce and Sheila Wheatley, celebrated his first birthday with a Farm First Birthday theme party at the home of his grandmother, JoAnn Wheatley, on December 2. His birthday was November 29.

Tractors belonging to Mason and his daddy, farm animals and balloons were used for decorating.

Hot dogs and hamburgers with all the trimmings were served. For dessert guests enjoyed farm cake and ice cream. Mason had his own special birthday cake topped with a #1.

After Mason opened his gifts, each child had a turn swinging at the cow piñata filled with candy. Goody bags were provided for the candy and were filled with other party favors as well.

Celebrating with Mason and his parents were his grandmothers, Lillie Davis and JoAnn Wheatley, and great-grandparents, James and Sarah Davis and George and Sarah Wheatley, all of Washington; Jamie and Natalie Anderson and Dusty Shelton, Sheila, Savannah and Garrett Clark of Tignall, Kayla Stone, CJ Dornberg, Crystal, Haley and Hannah Johnson, Lenny and Amy Wheatley and Herman and Amelia Wheatley of Washington, Carolyn Crook, Ron, Tara, Tristan, Tyler and Brittan Johnson of Lincolnton, and Shane and Julie Yancy and Will Combs of Loganville. James and Sonya Stone of Washington dropped by after the party with a special gift for Mason.

Prior to this celebration Mason was honored on his birthday as he enjoyed cupcakes, Cheese Puffs and juice boxes with his friends at the home of Gertrude Long.

Also on his birthday he enjoyed a fried chicken supper at his home with his parents and grandparents, James and Lillie Davis and JoAnn Wheatley. Cupcakes and ice cream were served for dessert. Lenny and Amy Wheatley visited later in the evening and brought a birthday gift to Mason.
