Mr. and Mrs. Edward Pope Jr. joined the family for dinner on Christmas Eve. +Joining Chan and Phyllis Drake for a Rhodes family dinner were Nita Rhodes Riley, Jack and Jean Rhodes, Glenn Rhodes of Tignall and his guest, Reba Webb of Oglethorpe Co., Marion Rhodes of Augusta, Pelham and Olivia Norman of Lincolnton, Peggy Callaway, Freddie and Barbara Rhodes, Charles and Mary Rhodes and John Harvey and Laverne Edwards of Washington. Dropping by later for a visit were Randy and Penny Lindsey of Cumming and Ronnie Lindsey of Washington. +Mrs. John Dyer enjoyed Christmas Eve in Athens with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Dyer and Elizabeth. +Mrs. Wallace Rodgers joined Mr. and Mrs. Jack Myers of Valdosta and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Baker of Destin, Fla., for the Christmas weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Myers in Warrenton. +Visiting during the holidays with Mrs. Earl George were Mr. and Mrs. Tony Gallo, Eve and Lawrence, of Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Richardson, Drew and Lyle, of Tifton; Sallie George and John and Valerie Mitchell of Arden, N.C.; and Mrs. J. W. Walton of Tignall. Mrs. Wayne Henderson joined the family for a holiday dinner. +Celebrating the Christmas holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Chan Drake were Mr. and Mrs. Todd Drake and Rachel of Savannah; and Mr. and Mrs. Chad Drake and Cassidy of Athens. Gathering with the family for dessert on Christmas Eve were Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Jones, Dr. and Mrs. Bob Jones and Lauren of Macon and Andy Raye, Andrew and Kathryn, of Atlanta. +Rev. and Mrs. Chris Townsend, Garston and Henry, joined family and friends for a New Year celebration with family in Dawsonville. The Townsends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Townsend in Atlanta with other family for Christmas.
