Flipped in the fog
Driving in fog and rain is hard enough, but doing it drunk was apparently too much for Ralph Clark, 59, of Tignall, who flipped his 1982 Chevrolet pickup on the Sandtown Road just before midnight Thursday. First responders, EMTs, and the Washington Rescue Squad had to use the jaws of life to extricate Clark after assessing his injuries and stabilizing his spine. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening and he was taken to Wills Memorial Hospital for examination. Georgia State Patrol Cpl. Paul Waller cited Clark for DUI, driving without a license, and with failure to maintain lane.
