We had a good attendance at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church worship service Sunday. Not many come to Sunday School any more. It just doesn't seem important to people any more. I was very surprised during the service when Rev. Martin called me to the front and presented me with a beautiful plaque in appreciation of 43 years as church treasurer at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church. Dianne Pullen is the new treasurer and I appreciate her very much for taking the job. ..My brother, Philip Huff, and his wife Mae Dell of Athens, attended the service at Clifford's Grove Sunday. ..Mrs. Iris Dyson, Whitney and Charlie Branham joined Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer for New Year's Day dinner. .. Mrs. Ricky McCarty carried Madison Kay home to Raytown Monday after she spent the night New Year's Eve with her. Pam visited with her parents, Dusty and Stacy Kay. ..Mr. and Mrs. Coryer Poss visited Mrs. Evans Davis Sunday afternoon. .. Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer attended visitation at Hicks Funeral Home in Elberton for Bob King Tuesday night and on Wednesday afternoon they were among the many friends and relatives who attended his funeral at Carlton Baptist Church. ..Mrs. Ricky McCarty visited Mrs. Cheryle Holsclaw in Washington Saturday evening. ..Mrs. Evans Davis visited Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scoggins and family in Augusta Sunday and later in the afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Scott Blaine visited her. ..Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance had lunch with Elizabeth Barber in
