Are we warming up, or not?
Dr. Mark Waters, retired Navy captain and National Weather Service employee, was the guest speaker at the regular meeting of the Kiwanis Club on Tuesday, January 9. He discussed issues related to "Global Warming of the Earth's Climate" and led a discussion with members on the social, economic, political, and habitat impacts of long term global warming. He also indicated that climatologists are not in agreement as to the causes of the observed increase of atmospheric temperature and whether or not the earth is in a protracted warming trend. Carlton Norris (left) was program host for the day.
