Amy Lannae, John Broadnax III guests of honor at cocktail party

The home of Chris and Tucker Blount of Athens was the scene of an old-fashioned cocktail party honoring Amy Lannae and John Broadnax III of Athens on Sunday, December 10.

Joining the Blounts in hosting the festive affair were Lucy and Buddy Allen, Betty DeLorme, Chad Erwin, Peggy and Denny Galis, Suzanne and Allen King, Amburn and Will Power, Tudy and Cuppy Roberts and Nancy Zechella, all of Athens.

For the occasion Miss Lannae chose a black scoop neck cashmere sweater embellished with beading that highlighted the neckline and winter white flowing pants.

Guests were greeted by Mrs. Blount's amazing collection of nutcrackers surrounding the beautiful foyer, living and dining rooms. The mantels and stairway were beautifully decorated with fresh greenery and flowers, charming Christmas decorations, twinkling lights and treasured ornaments that added ambiance for everyone. Many guests enjoyed a blazing fire both indoors and outdoors around the fire pit.

Candles and silver were nestled among fresh greenery and florals on the dining room table from which heavy hors d'oeuvres were served.

The hosts presented the engaged couple a beautiful plate in their fine china.

Among the host of Athens friends of the prospective bridegroom and his family attending were from the Washington area, the bride-elect's family; also Kathy Lindsey and O.A. and Jerry Denard; the bride-elect's brother, Trey Lannae of Athens; sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Russell Rainey of Evans; and Keith and Ellen Cowne of Colbert.
