Ladies trying to get back on track
In Lincolnton last Saturday evening, the Washington-Wilkes Lady Tigers continued in their efforts to break a five-game losing streak but fell slightly short in what turned out to be a close game, according to head coach Jackson Calhoun. They will try again this week in home games against Putnam County, Oglethorpe County, and Banks County. Against the Red Devils, Diundra Doughty led the scoring for W-W with 16 points. Also in double figures were Briana Walton with 12 and Angel Acree (pictured above) with 10. Jaleesa Hampton added nine points to the contest. The loss put the ladies' record for the season so far at 6-7.
