Rev. Williams is guest speaker at Springfield Sun.

Rev. Marion F. Williams of Augusta will be the guest speaker for the Sunday, January 14, service at Springfield Baptist Church, Washington, at 3 p.m..

Rev. Williams is pastor of the Friendship Baptist Church in Augusta. He is a graduate of T.W. Josey High School in Augusta and earned certificates of certification and advanced certification from the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia and the Georgia Municipal Association, and the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia.

Williams is currently serving a second term on the Augusta-Richmond County Commission representing District 2. He was elected to serve as Mayor Pro Tem in 2005 and 2006, and served as past chairman of the public safety committee and a member of the finance committee. He currently serves as a member of the engineering services committee.
