Parade salutes Dr. King
Washington and Wilkes County paused Monday afternoon to hold a parade in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As participants threw candy to kids in the crowd, the parade started at the front of the high school, came up Whitehall Street, then turned and went up West Robert Toombs Avenue to The Square, where it was met by crowds of onlookers.
