Barry McAvoy ordained at Fishing Creek on Dec. 24

Barry McAvoy received his certificate of license to preach the gospel during the worship service at Fishing Creek Baptist Church on Sunday, December 24.
The certificate stated that "God has called Barry D. McAvoy into the gospel ministry to preach as he may have opportunity and to exercise his gifts in the work of the ministry." The license was presented by Rev. Roy Cates, pastor of Fishing Creek Baptist Church.
Following the receipt of the license, McAvoy delivered the morning message to the congregation at Fishing Creek Baptist Church. He and his wife Barbara and daughter Lauren are members of the licensing church.
During the past few months, McAavoy has preached at several area Baptist churches including Sardis, County Line, Danbuirg, Newtown, Clark's Station, and Sandy Cross.
