GLSP to provide free legal help Feb. 6 at library

The Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) provides free legal help to low-income people with civil (non-criminal) legal problems.

A person from the GLSP staff will travel to meet with people wanting this free legal help in Wilkes, Taliaferro, and Lincoln counties on the first Tuesday of each month on a first-come, first-served basis.

The next scheduled visit is on Tuesday, February 6, 12:30 p.m.-3 p.m., at the Mary Willis Library, 204 East Liberty Street, Washington.

The GLSP office which serves Wilkes, Taliaferro, and Lincoln counties is in Augusta at 209 Seventh Street, Suite 400. Citizens may call the office with legal problems or may meet with the staff member during the scheduled visit. Local calls to the Augusta office may be made to 706-721-2327. The toll-free number for long distance calls is 1- 800-248-6697.
