An update on our stained glass window project at Phillips Mill Baptist Church: we are getting closer but not there yet. If you are interested in having a part and have not given yet, remember all checks need to be payable to the church and in the "for" section, please put stained glass window project. Thanks. .. Please remember Rev. Robert "Bob" Rayner, our pastor at Phillips Mill Baptist Church, and his wife Nancy in your prayers. She has been in poor health for some time and still has a ways to go to be active again. I can't help but think of the Little Train that continued, saying "I think I can, "I think I can," and every hill it climbed over it would say, "I thought I could," "I thought I could." She is one with faith. ..Belated birthday wishes to Mrs. Grace Mathis Beazley, Dan McAvoy and Gerald Lyle West, who celebrated birthdays Friday, January 12, and all others. Among visitors of Mr. and Mrs. McAvoy on his birthday were Morrison and Priscilla Maxwell and grandson Tyler. Visitors during the week and weekend included Henry and Faye McAvoy, Kerry McAvoy, Gloria Hardy, Dorothy Ann Saxon, Curtis and Linda McAvoy. ..Nell Shedd enjoyed having her daughters, Barbara, Laura, and Karen, and their families visiting on several occasions during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The grandchildren are keeping Nell young. ..Barry and Vickie Moore and sons, Barry Jr. and Rob, of Brunswick spent a week at their country home in the area and visited some with relatives. Among relatives who enjoyed having them drop in were uncle and aunt, Pete and Mary Lucy Moore, while visiting them they also got to see their uncle, Tom Moore of Eatonton. They visited Morrison and Priscilla Maxwell on several occasions. ..Best wishes to Rev. John Mark Carpenter upon his recent retirement as pastor of Sardis Baptist Church, Rayle; and Rev. Jim Edwards upon his recent retirement as pastor of Beaverdam Baptist Chuch. They have both meant a lot to the Georgia Baptist Association.
