Steering Committee meets for planning of new cookbook

The North Wilkes Steering Committee met at the Tignall Lunchroom Thursday, January 11, with the main item of business being the new cookbook being planned.

The cookbook will be published in time for the Tignall Fall Festival in November. It will be a reprinting of the old Tignall PTA cookbook and an addition of recipes from people in the North Wilkes area now. This will be Tignall's Famous Recipes . . . Past and Present.

So if you have connections to this area, please send in one of your favorite recipes to be added to this cookbook. Send recipes to Gloria Ware, 156 Sandtown Rd., Washington, GA 30673, or give to any of the North Wilkes Steering Committee members. Get those recipes in.

At the meeting, Pat Bobo, Sherry Bowers, and Paula Butts were welcomed as new members of the steering committee.
