Hay, it's cold out here!
A little ice doesn't bother these hardy Wilkes County cattle, and last week's combination of freezing rain and sleet wasn't enough to damage trees or interrupt power anywhere in the county. That's quite a difference from this time last year, when an ice storm dropped limbs and trees on power lines all over. But keep the chainsaws ready, folks, winter is far from over.
