Middle and high school plan joint open house for Monday, February 5

Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School and Washington- Wilkes Middle School have announced Monday, February 5, as the date of a joint open house for parents and students of each school. From 3:30-6 p.m. during the open house, parents will be allowed to meet with teachers and to pick up their children's progress reports for the first 4½ weeks of this semester.

Open house refreshments will be sponsored by the W-WCHS School Council.

"It is the desire of both W-WCHS and W-WMS to enhance parent/ school communications," according to Steve Echols, assistant principal at the high school. "We are committed to monitoring student progress and providing opportunities for parents to be informed and address concerns they may have. Through preventive measures and parent/school collaboration, the students of WWCHS and W-WMS can experience greater success. So, please come out and support this event, meet the educators involved in your child's life, and learn about wonderful things happening at W-WCHS and W-WMS."
