W-W Middle School math team places 2nd in Rockdale meet

The Washington-Wilkes Middle School Math Team participated in the third annual Rockdale Mathematics Competition at Rockdale County High School on Saturday, January 20, and received second place out of 10 teams.

They brought home a trophy for the third consecutive year.

High scorers for the Washington- Wilkes team were Angela Broome, Haley Colvard, Joel Fair, Nicholas Reville, Michael Pharr, and Jonathan Wood. The students were accompanied by their teachers.

The annual event was hosted by the Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology.
