Suspected crack dealer leads January roundup of Wilkes County arrests Nathaniel Watts of Tignall is being held on $55,000 bond after being arrested Jan. 12 by Georgia State Trooper First Class Brent Marxsen during a traffic stop on Sandtown Road. A search revealed that Watts was in possession of 14 individually wrapped packets of suspected crack cocaine. A search of his house revealed a small amount of suspected powder cocaine and two shotguns. Watts is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute; and with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is being held on a state probation violation. In a roundup of other law enforcement action in Washington and Wilkes Co., the following arrests were logged at the Cecil B. Moore Law Enforcement Center in January. Vonta Cobb, 33, of Athens, was arrested Jan. 25 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with simple battery. He was released on $10,000 bond. Terry D. Moore, 45, of Crawfordville, was arrested Jan. 24 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with simple battery. He was released on $3,500 bond. Sergio Alberto Escobar, 27, of Harlem, was arrested Jan. 25 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with speeding (73 in a 55) and violation of Georgia's licencing requirements. He was released on payment of $422 cash fine. Curtis Milton, 25, of Washington, was arrested Jan. 24 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with speeding and with driving on a revoked or suspended license. He was released on $2,000 bond. Brett Terrell Ray, 48, of Washington, was arrested Jan. 25 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with theft by deception. He was released on $8,000 bond. Camaliter Carter, 32, of Washington, was arrested Jan 20 by Washington police and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol; driving with an open container of alcohol; and with a traffic violation. She was released on $2,350 bond. Michael Orlando King, 38, of Conyers, Ga., was arrested Jan 19 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence; driving with an open container; driving on a suspended or revoked license; speeding; driving with no proof of insurance; driving on a suspended registration; and misdemeanor possession of dangerous drugs. He was released Jan. 21 on $15,500 bond. Crystal Jane Cox, 25, of Wilkes Co., was arrested Jan. 19 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license. She was released on $1,500 bond. Demetris Gibson, 21, of Crawfordville, was arrested Jan. 19 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with felony aggravated assault and with felony third-degree cruelty to children. He was held on $15,000 bond. Mickey Donta Milton, 27, of Washington, was arrested Jan. 13 by Wilkes Co. deputies on a child support warrant. Bobette L. Medina, 45, of Wilkes Co. was arrested Jan. 15 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license and with driving with no proof of insurance. She was held on $3,000 bond. Carla Perry, 35, of Washington, was arrested Jan. 15 by Wilkes Co. deputies on a child support warrant. Lazarto M. Smith, 25, of Wilkes Co., was arrested Jan. 15 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with being a pedestrian under the influence of alcohol. He was released on payment of a cash fine. Derwin Campbell, 39, of Washington, was arrested Jan. 13 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with deposit account fraud. He was released on payment of a $228 cash bond. Denise Edwards, 45, of Washington, was arrested Jan. 13 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with deposit account fraud. She was released on payment of $176. Lakesha Evette James, 30, of Wilkes Co. was arrested Jan. 13 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with felony aggravated assault (family violence). She was released on $10,000 bond. Allen E. Martin, 59, of Wilkes Co. was arrested Jan. 9 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with theft by deception. He was released on $500 bond. Michael Dewitt Clark, 49, of Tallahassee, Fla., was arrested Jan. 7 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with felony terroristic threats and acts. He was held on $8,000 bond. Curtis Milton, 25, of Washington, was arrested Jan. 8 by Washington police and charged with disorderly conduct. He was released on $600 bond. Carlton Lindsey Erwin, 48, of Rayle, was arrested Jan. 5 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with theft by taking. He was held on a state probation violation. Brandon Reese Silas, 20, of Thomson, was arrested Jan. 5 by Washington police and charged with possession of a controlled substance; and violation of a licence plate requirement and with an equipment violation. No bond was noted. Ralph Clark, 59, of Tignall, was arrested Jan. 5 by Georgia State Patrol troopers and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol; driving on a revoked or suspended license; and with a traffic violation. He was held on $1,536 bond. William H. Kendrick, 40, of Athens, was arrested Jan. 7 by Washington police and charged with driving under the influence; driving with an open container; driving on a suspended or revoked license; and a traffic violation. He was released on $5,500 bond. Clarence L. Ashmore Jr., 40, of Wilkes Co., was arrested Jan. 5 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with criminal trespass. He was released on $2,000 bond. Ricardo V. Owens, 22, of Washington, was arrested Jan. 4 by Washington police and charged with disorderly conduct. He was held on $600 bond. Cassandra Dunn Evans, 44, of Rayle, was arrested Jan. 2 by Washington police and charged with theft by shoplifting. She was released on a cash bond. Stanley Ramon Johnson, 39, of Wilkes Co., was arrested Jan. 2 by Washington police and charged with theft by shoplifting. He was released on a cash bond. Edward Smith, 54, of Rayle, was arrested Jan. 2 by Wilkes Co. deputies and charged with simple battery. No bond was noted.
