Computer courses available in McCormick Co. schools

The McCormick County School District will have a variety of computer classes available in February.

"Computer Literacy for Beginners and Intermediates" will be offered beginning Tuesday, February 6, with graduation set for Thursday, March 1.

Classes for beginners will be from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m.; and 3- 5 p.m. for intermediate. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week for four weeks.

The basic course includes handson computer operation and definition of terms for Windows XP. Intermediate course includes Microsoft Works, Word Processing, Database, and Spreadsheet. Both will provide instruction on MS Outlook Express, Email with Stationery, sounds, attachments and compressed files, MS Internet Explorer Internet and World Wide Web searches.

Class size is limited to 14 persons. Digital Photography will be discussed.

Classes are held in the Computer Lab located at McCormick Adult Education Center, 615 Clayton St. (Previously McCormick Elementary School.)
