Mass food distribution is set for today behind McDonald's

The CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority Inc. will have a mass food distribution in Wilkes County on Thursday, February 1, at the McDonald's warehouse, 1024 East Robert Toombs Avenue, from 9 a.m. until all food is gone.

The distribution is for low-income and elderly persons, serving a total of 125 families in Wilkes County, and will provide fruits, vegetables, canned meats, and juices.

Each family will be provided one bag of food. The program is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Persons wishing to receive food must bring a picture identification (ID), and their household size (number living in the home) and the monthly income for the family.
