The Lincoln-Wilkes Retired Educators Association honored Wilkes County middle and high school students for academic excellence for the first semester of 2006-2007.
Middle school students had an overall average of 95 or above and high school students had an overall average of 95 or above in four courses.
For their accomplishments, the students will receive the Georgia Retired Educators Association (GREA) Academic Award, a statewide program which recognizes students who are to be commended for their high standards of academic achievement, participation in school activities, and leadership qualities.
