Local residents enjoy Rod Stewart concert in Atlanta

Matt Smith (l-r) Easton Smith and Chip Hardin share excitement over attending the Rod Stewart concert in Atlanta.
Matt and Easton Smith, sons of Sonny and Jennifer Sanders of Washington-Wilkes, attended the Rod Stewart concert at Phillips Arena in Atlanta on Saturday, January 20.

This show was part of the singer's 2007 "Rocking in the Round" tour.

Stewart sang selections from almost every phase of his 40-year career that included "You Wear It Well", "Some Guys Have All the Luck", "You're in My Heart", "Have I Told You Lately (That I Love You)", and everyone's favorite, "Maggie May".

Accompanied by their grandmother, Debbie Smith, and Chip Hardin, the boys enjoyed the show from the third row making for an even more exciting and unforgettable evening.

"Because Rod Stewart has a uniquely expressive voice, he is able to connect with audiences on an emotional level that few entertainers can match," Hardin said.
