Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer attended the HEART shower and breakfast held at the Georgia Baptist Association Mission Center Saturday morning. This is an annual event sponsored by the WMU. Many nice and useful things were brought by members of churches in the Association. On February 19, they will be taken to the HEART Ministry Inc. in Lavonia. ..Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Stevens visited Mrs. Evans Davis Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Coryer Poss visited her Wednesday night. ..Charlie Branham joined Benjamin Hodges and his family for the weekend. They went to Dillard and had fun snow tubing Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. ..Sunday was Whitney Branham's thirteenth birthday. On Friday evening she and her daddy went to Augusta and enjoyed supper at Chile's. Her mother carried her and her friend, Dixie Lee Trimm, to Augusta Saturday for lunch at the Red Lobster and then they enjoyed ice skating. .. Spending Sunday with Mrs. Evans Davis were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scoggins, Dylan, Hannah, and Stephanie of Augusta. ..John Hopkins of Athens visited his grandmother, Mrs. Iris Dyson, Sunday afternoon. ..Not much news this week. It's been so cold most everybody had rather stay home and keep warm, especially us old folks.
