CM Gayton

A memorial service for CM Gayton, 70, of Tignall will be held Saturday, February 10, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church on Kelly Bridge Rd. in Dawsonville. He died Sunday, February 4, in Wills Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Gayton was a native of Cherokee County and had lived in Tignall for about 15 years. He was a retired landscaper and was the son of the late Hershel L. Gayton and Maggie Pauline Boling Gayton.

Survivors include two sons, J.R. Gayton of Tignall and Alton Gayton of Florida; three daughters, Deborah Geddings and Rita Gilleland of Cumming, and Sherry Dillinghand of Dawsonville; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
