John Paul Reynolds Funeral services for Rev. John Paul "Jack" Reynolds, 66, of Washington were held Friday, February 2, 2007, in the Abilene Baptist Church, Augusta, with Rev. W.F. Harrell and Rev. Dale Fincher officiating. Committal service and interment were held at the Prattville Memorial Chapel and Memory Gardens in Prattville, Alabama, Saturday, February 3, with Rev. Henry Smith officiating. He died Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at his home in Washington. Rev. Reynolds was born in McAlester, Oklahoma, and was the son of the late Raymond James Reynolds and Leota McDonald Reynolds. He was a member of the Tignall Baptist Church, the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Washington Little Theater where he also performed. He served actively for 25 years as a minister in the Southern Baptist Convention. Most recently he was associated as a consultant with Abilene Baptist Church in the church's media and choral ministries. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Stewart Reynolds of Washington, formerly of Prattville, Ala.; and sister, Mary Wyatt, Lake Park, Ga. Pallbearers for the funeral service at Abilene Baptist Church included Horace Jordan, Joey Fievet, Henry Harris, Larry Burton, Rev. James Bland, Stewart Ray, Tim Altmix and Doc Scott. Members of the Washington Kiwanis Club served as honorary pallbearers. Pallbearers for the committal service included Rex Musgrove, Gaylon Hefner, Larry Vinson, Jack Posey, Chris Baldwin, and Jeff Baldwin. Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington and Prattville Memorial Chapel and Memory Gardens of Prattville, Ala., were in charge of arrangements.
