Gathering of Edwards, Lyle families set for March 16-18

The third annual cousins gathering of the Edwards and Lyle families will be held in Taliaferro County March 16-18.

All descendants and kinfolks of 19th Century Etheldred and Julia Ann Ogletree Edwards and of James and Mary Jane Lyle are invited to attend, along with any other interested persons.

The opening dinner will be held at Lin's Wok in Washington-Wilkes on Saturday, March 17.

The group will assemble at Sandy Cross Baptist Church in Taliaferro County at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Lunch will be at the church, probably prepared by Liberty Café. A business meeting will be held in the afternoon.

A dinner will be held at the Liberty Café in Crawfordville (on your own) at 6 p.m.

The 8:30 a.m. meeting Sunday morning, March 18, will be held at the Crawfordville Presbyterian Church and will honor military veterans. Lunch will be at the Liberty Café at 11 a.m.

Anyone who plans to attend is asked to contact Terri Saturday by February 15 at 706-359-2895 so that plans can be made for meals.
