Tigers have a shot at first place
Khiry Tutt gets up over Greene County for two points but it wasn't enough to overcome those other Tigers as W-W lost last Friday night 58-71. Then, on Tuesday night, the Tigers needed a win to secure second place in the region and a home berth in the post season. Morgan County had beaten the Tigers earlier in the season but couldn't do it again as W-W pulled out a 75-72 win. While Putnam County now sits alone at the top of the region, a Tiger win over North Oconee this Friday will guarantee a second place finish for Washington-Wilkes and, if Putnam should lose to Greene, a shot at a first place finish. The North Oconee game will be at home.
