Two Tigers sign for UConn
With proud parents and their coach looking on, Tiger standouts Kelmetrius Wylie and Gary Wilburn sign letters of intent to play football for the University of Connecticut. Wylie (left), accompanied by his motherTanja Vance, and Wilburn, accompanied by parents Willie and Melissa Turman, accepted full-ride athletic scholarships to play for the Huskies. "When we saw the facilities they had," Wylie said, "we couldn't say no." Frank Hester of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes presented Bibles to both young men.
