Another tree is planted in Tree City
Washington Mayor Willie E. Burns, Tree Board member Mike Hardy, and Iris Garden Club members Laura Toburen and Cathy Stackhouse gathered at the Washington-Wilkes Parks and Recreation center for the annual tree planting in honor of Arbor Day. Washington has been named a Tree City by the National Arbor Day Foundation for 22 years.
