Charlie Marshall Raffini Funeral services for Charlie Marshall Raffini, 89, of Raffini Road, Wilkes County, were held Sunday, February 11, 2007, at Rehoboth Baptist Church, Metasville, with Rev. Steve Rayner officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Friday, February 9, 2007, in Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington. Mr. Raffini was a native of Lincoln County and had lived in the Metasville community most of his life. He was the son of the late Dan Raffini and Julia Mae Burton Raffini. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II; was a retired carpenter, and a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Doris Trail of Greenwood, S.C., and Sadie Hunt of Washington; two brothers, William B. Raffini of Ermo, S.C., and Milton Raffini of Anderson, S.C. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rehoboth Baptist Christian Life Center, c/o Alan Ivey, 3028 Lovelace Rd., Lincolnton, GA 30817.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
