City celebrates Arbor Day

Washington Mayor Willie E. Burns signs a proclamation declaring February 17 as Arbor Day, a worldwide salute to the value of trees. Washington has been recognized as a Tree City USA, and members of the Washington Tree Board and the Iris Garden Club gathered for the annual proclamation.
