Nancy Truitt Powell Funeral services for Nancy Truitt Powell, 73, of Tignall were held Wednesday, February 21, 2007, in the chapel of Hopkins Funeral Home with Rev. Wade Palmer officiating. She died February 18. Mrs. Powell was a native and lifelong resident of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Jagbe A. Truitt and the late Ella Mae Smith Truitt. She retired from Royal Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Pope's Chapel Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Powell of Tignall; a daughter, Deborah J. Powell, Pensacola, Fla.; three sons and daughters-inlaw, Mike and Judy Powell, Bobby Jr. and Janice Powell, all of Tignall, and Tony and Kelly Powell, Washington; three sisters, Lucy Wallace, Elberton, Peggy Stewart, Warrenton, and Terri Williamson, Gainesville; four brothers, Jabe Truitt, Lothian, Md., W.F. Truitt, Albany, Bobby Gene Truitt, Augusta, and Mack Truitt, Lincolnton; 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Hopkins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
