William Lewis

Funeral services for William Lewis, 58, were held Saturday, February 17, 2007, at the New Ford Baptist Church, Danburg, with Rev. James White officiating. Interment was in Thankful Baptist Church Cemetery. He died February 11.

Mr. Lewis was a native of Danburg in Wilkes County and was the son of Robert Partlow and the late Maggie Beatty.

Survivors include five sisters, Lena Mae Burns, Mae Lue Tate, and Patricia Ann Wright, Lincolnton, Lillie Walton, Tignall, and Elizabeth Siler, Pittsburgh, Pa.; three brothers, Fred Lee Partlow of Augusta, Willie James Partlow, Lincolnton, and Willie Norman, Chicago, Illinois; and three stepchildren, Willie Mae Willis, Stanley Dye, and Veronica Chennault.

Pallbearers included John Tatum, Tyrone Richardson, George Barksdale, Jule Hulin, Kendrick Chennault, Ashley Heard, and Stanley Dye.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
