Mabel Johnson honored at family luncheon Feb. 17

Mabel Ware Johnson was honored on her 92nd birthday, Saturday, February 17, at a family luncheon hosted by her daughter and son-inlaw, Emilie and Mark Waters, at their home on East Robert Toombs Avenue.

Family gathered in the dining room where the table was set with formal china in honor of the event. Camellias were used in decorating in addition to bouquets of tulips and roses.

Delicious birthday cake and ice cream were enjoyed for dessert.

Joining Mrs. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Waters were Johnny and Lynda Johnson Gresham and Ernest and Marilyn Johnson, all of Marietta, Mary Murphy Gary, Amy Grace and Miriam, of Watkinsville, Arvid Johnson and children, Taylor and Andrew of Atlanta. Dropping by during the afternoon was a friend, Jeff Foster.

Mrs. Johnson's daughter, Carole Johnson Murphy, of Bishop, visited the previous Monday and Tuesday and joined her mother in attending the John Duggan Memorial Scholarship Dinner Monday evening at the Woman's Club. They also celebrated Valentine's Day and her birthday during the visit.
