Vanessa Wilson and Clay Patrick to be married in ceremony June 30

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hopkins of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Wilson of Tignall announce the engagement of their daughter, Vanessa Wilson, of Guyton, to Clayton (Clay) Roan Patrick, also of Guyton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edd Patrick of Swainsboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Joyce Earline Jones Cribb of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Echols of Tignall, and the late Grady Johnson and Emma Martin Wilson of Tignall.

She is a 1998 graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School and attended Piedmont College in Demorest. Miss Wilson is a 2003 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. She is employed as an occupational therapist at Candler Hospital in Savannah.

Mr. Patrick is the grandson of the late Earl and Annie Lee Johnson Sconyers of Canoochee and the late Ernest and Nannie Norris Patrick of Twin City.

He is a 1992 graduate of David Emanuel Academy in Stillmore, attended East Georgia College in Swainsboro and graduated in 2002 from ABAC in Tifton with a Bachelor of Science in Turf and Golf Management. Mr. Patrick is employed in landscape management by Elliotts Landscape, Inc., in Rincon.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 30, at 6:00 p.m., at Canoochee Baptist Church in Canoochee.
