Johnson Circle of FUMC meets at Barry home

Randee Barry was hostess for the meeting of the Cornelia Johnson Circle of First United Methodist Church at her home on Tuesday, February 13.

Mrs. Barry opened the meeting with a devotional about God's Valentine to us and used various scriptures to illustrate.

Laura Toburen presided and committee reports were given. She reminded members about the Lay Witness Mission at the church February 23-25 and encouraged members to attend. She also reminded members of the Tour of Homes Luncheon March 31 and requested support and help for the project.

Leanne and Ralph Boyd of Hephzibah, part time missionaries to the village of Neculaieuca in the country of Moldova, presented a power point with pictures and information that were very touching. They asked for prayers from the Circle as they go back to Moldova this summer.

Members were reminded the next meeting will be at the home on Pauline Bell on March 6.

After the program, Mrs. Barry served delicious Valentine theme dessert to members present, Bunny Gunby, June Durden, Kay Bray, Laura Toburen, Marcia Delaney, Linda Smith, Pauline Bell and Alice Lindsey.
