New computer learning system in use
Wilkes County student Warren Peek uses the Aztec Learning System now available in the Wilkes County Adult Learning Center (behind McDonald's). Aztec, which is comprised of computer-based learning programs, is designed to assess students' knowledge and skills, diagnose deficiencies, and prescribe personal learning pathways, said Polly Fievet. "Aztec allows users to work at their own pace as they prepare for a number of assessments, including: the GED, COMPASS college placement exam, ASVAB, TABE, SAT, and WorkKeys," she said.
