W-W Kindergarten registration to be held March 5-9, 8-3

Registration for the Washington- Wilkes Kindergarten (five-yearolds) for the 2007-2008 school year will be held during the week of March 5-9, daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Any Wilkes County child who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2007, is eligible to attend kindergarten.

Parents or guardians of eligible children can register their child for kindergarten at the Washington- Wilkes Primary School at 910 East Robert Toombs Avenue.

The following items are required for each student, either during registration or before school begins in August: a Georgia Immunization Certificate; a Georgia Certificate of Ear, Eye, and Dental Examinations; a birth certificate; and Social Security Number.

Children cannot begin school unless these items have been submitted to the school.
