Honored for district selection
John Pope and Hayley Colvard were honored at the meeting of the Wilkes County Board of Education on Tuesday, February 20, for having earned a spot in the Tenth District Honor Band held in Augusta last weekend. Superintendent Joyce Williams presented each of them with a framed certificate from the board for their achievement. They are students of Jeff Thomas, W-WMS director of bands.
