Sponsor a Shelter dog

This beautiful mixed-breed dog is one of the many dogs at the Washington Wilkes Animal Shelter that needs a loving home. She is affectionate, calm, spayed, and vaccinated.

If you cannot adopt a dog, perhaps you would like to select a dog to sponsor. The dog would remain at the Shelter until, or if, it is adopted.

You could visit the dog, walk the dog, and be a friend. You could have a picture of your dog. Your much needed gift would feed and care for it.

"Our homeless dogs may be abandoned, rejected, or abused, but they respond to every bit of kindness," says Alice Green, a volunteer at the Shelter. "Kindness to animals makes a better world for all of us."

Visit the Shelter at 358 Brown Drive, Washington. The hours are 3-5 p.m., Monday-Saturday. The phone number is 706-678-CATS.
