I've been facing the giants this week, but I've decided the giants aren't going to win. ..G.B. has been sick for about 10 days. Finally today (Sunday) he is feeling some better. He still has a terrible cough and can't rest too well with that. ..I did not get to church at Ebenezer Sunday but my friend Sara Huff and I went to Sweetwater Baptist Church in Thomson Sunday evening to see the movie "Facing the Giants." If you have the opportunity, go see it, and take all the young people with you. It touched my heart and I received a blessing. I got to see Mrs. Virginia Lever. She was there and I was happy to see her. ..Rev. and Mrs. Jim Newsome of Vero Beach, Fla., returned home Sunday after a week's visit with his mother, Jenelle Newsome. Aunt Jenelle is home after being in the hospital for several days. She is feeling better at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Newsome and Anna of Martinez visited them Saturday. ..I visited my parents Tuesday which was my mother's birthday. She turned 85. My dad is not well and I especially request prayer for him and mother. ..Mrs. Linda Standard made several trips to Augusta the past week. Peyton Standard of Augusta spent several days with his grandparents last week. ..Mitch Taylor had to have a finger removed last week, but seems to be doing okay. He, along with Cassie and Bryson, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Fields in Oglethorpe County and Deanne Johnson in Hull. They all enjoyed a trip to Commerce Saturday. ..Sincere sympathy to all who recently lost loved ones. Our prayers go out to each of you. ..Our prayer concerns include Henry and Blanche Wallace, G.B. Becky Phillips visited Mr. and Mrs. David Harris in Danburg Thursday through Saturday. It's so nice to have a new baby in our church family. This is the first baby for Genna and IV and the first grandchild for Linda and Clint. I think she will be a little spoiled.
