By SAMILLE SHERRER Please call 706-678-7363

We had a good attendance at worship service at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday. Rev. Martin preached a good message from I Corinthians 29-33. He shares with us news and weekly reports from his son, Rev. Larry Martin, and his wife Dianne who are missionaries in Moldova. They have been there just over one year. Although it is the poorest country in Europe the people are friendly and happy, and anxious to hear the gospel. They have traveled to several other countries and right now they are in Czechoslovakia and will return to Moldova in a few days. ..Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer were among the group of church members who went to Lavonia Monday to deliver the many items donated to the HEART ministries. It's nice to know so many are willing to help make life easier for the women in the alcohol and drug abuse recovery and training program. They were so appreciative and many of them came out and helped unload the supplies. ..My cousin, Lucy Nell Hopkins Gill, lives in Lavonia and is a member of the First Baptist Church. The residents at HEART worship there and she knows some of them by name. She met us at HEART and later invited James and me to her home for lunch. We enjoyed it and spending the afternoon with her. ..Mrs. Juanita Bradford and Mrs. John Sutherland visited Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bradford in Thomson Wednesday. They enjoyed lunch at Ryan's. ..James Sherrer visited Mrs. Sue Harwell in Danielsville Friday and also visited Mrs. Sidney Ann Stoyles in Cobb Health Care in Comer, and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Spinks in Carlton. ..Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer visited Mrs. Louise Berryman at Magnolia Estates Personal Care Home in Elberton Saturday afternoon. ..Visiting Mrs. Iris Dyson Sunday morning were Mr. and Mrs. Mark Spandle of Statesboro; Tad Hopkins III of Eatonton; John Hopkins of Athens, and his friend Katie Efstration; and Mrs. Felton Corbett. They all were Mrs. Hopkins' guests for lunch at the Fitzpatrick Hotel. ..Visiting Mrs. Evans Davis Sunday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Coryer Poss, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Stevens, and Vickie Stevens.
