Daisy Ellen Thornton to marry James Benji Lewis on April 7

Charles Ray Thornton and Mrs. Sam Reeves of Washington announce the engagement of their daughter, Daisy Ellen Thornton, to James Benji Lewis, both of Statesboro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jan Price, also of Statesboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Virginia Todd and the late Charles Thornton of Washington, also, the late Sam Harris of Tignall and the late Jackie Flowers of Washington.

She is a 2000 graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School and a 2005 graduate of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.

Mr. Lewis is the grandson of Mrs. Bobbie Lamb and the late Allen Lamb of Statesboro and Mrs. Minerva Price of Claxton.

He is a 1995 graduate of Statesboro High School in Statesboro and a 2002 graduate of Georgia Southern University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Development. Mr. Lewis is a teacher at Charter Conservatory for the Liberal Arts (CCAT). He is also the owner and operator of Jammin J. Productions, a disc jockey company.

The couple plans to marry on Saturday, April 7, at 6 p.m. at Robbins Nest in Statesboro.
