Lincoln gospel group releases first full-length CD of their music All honor, glory, and praise go to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for putting it in my heart to write and sing His praises. - Justin Norman The gospel group, Justin Norman & Family, has just released its first full-length CD titled Tell Me What You Want Me To Do. Along with the title track, the CD features songs such as "Lord, I Praise You," "It May Get Worse Before It Gets Better," "You Gotta Know," "I Wanna Say 'Thank You'," "No Weapon Formed Against Me Shall Prosper," and "I Wanna Go With Jesus." All of the songs were written by Norman. In addition to Norman, the Lincolnton based group is comprised of his wife, Pam; his father, Jesse Norman; sisters, Diane Norman Elam and Burshunda Norman Harden; Lawanda Freeman, his niece; and brother-in-law Rev. Matthew Harden, pastor of New Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lincolnton. Each of the group's members grew up singing in church so performing gospel music was as natural as breathing. Justin Norman & Family was organized during the summer of 2004 and recorded its first single, "Tell Me What You Want Me To Do," in October of that same year. The song is special for many reasons - one of these is that it features Justin's daughter, Latisha, singing background vocals. In his comments, Mr. Norman said, "We would like to thank the people of Lincoln and the surrounding counties for their support. We would also like to thank the radio stations for playing our music. We pray that our ministry will be a blessing to our many listeners." Copies of Tell Me What You Want Me To Do may be purchased at Wanda's Hair Design on Highway 79 or from any member of the Norman Family. The cost is $12 for a CD and $8 for a cassette. The group has already begun work on its second CD.
