Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bradford of Thomson visited Mrs. Juanita Bradford Wednesday morning. Juanita had a fall recently. No bones were broken but she has been very sore. We hope she will recover real soon. ..Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty visited his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John White in Jackson, Wednesday. ..After his doctor's appointment in Athens Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lance visited their daughter, Elizabeth Barber, and had lunch with her. ..Mrs. Judy Strickland, her daughter Nicole and granddaughter Angie vis- ited Mrs. Ricky McCarty Saturday. ..Charlie Branham spent Saturday night with his friend, Benjamin Hodges. ..Mrs. Ricky McCarty visited Mr. and Mrs. Dusty Kay and Madison in Raytown Sunday afternoon. ..I went with James to the five o'clock services at Wilkes County Baptist Church Sunday. They are without a pastor at this time. The guest speaker Sunday was Dr. Gene Winfrey of Loganville. He preached a very inspiring message and his wife played the accordion and sang a beautiful song. Everyone enjoyed them. He is a wellknown evangelist. He is retired but is a very sought-after speaker.

..Here are a few thoughts from "Nuggets of Gold." Maybe it's true that life begins at 50, but everything else starts to wear out, fall out or spread out. Youth would be an ideal state if it came a little later in life. Do it now! Today will be yesterday tomorrow.
